Latvia is located on the Baltic Sea in Eastern Europe, surrounded by Lithuania, Estonia, Belarus, and Russia. The capital of Latvia is Riga. The Baltic State spans across 64,589 square kilometers of land covered by expansive woodlands (covering 52% of the land), rivers , and coastal beaches. Its large geographic area and centralized location has prompted many countries, such as Russia and Germany, to fight for the land. |
